Days feature presentations, exhibitions and projections developed by historians, archaeologists, researchers and memorialists such as Francisco Espinosa, Cristóbal Orellana, Jose Luis Gutierrez Molina, Paqui Maqueda, Enrique Vila, Fernando Romero, Fernando, Diego Caro Cancela, Manolo Santander, Carlos Perales, Jesus Roman and Francisco Sempere.

 

They will deliberate on the necessity and urgency of the Democratic Memory; will offer an updated state of research in the field of Francoist repression in the province of Cadiz vision; will report on the current situation in the case of stolen in the post-Franco Franco and Babies; communicate the latest developments on current Querella Argentina; They will study in detail the magnitude of the most severe repression of the council of the Popular Front starring Franco's military justice; They will provide an extensive report on the House of Memory 'La Sauceda' of Jimena de la Frontera social initiative as an example of historical memory; will analyze the implementation of the Law of Political Responsibilities in Jerez de la Frontera as another form of Francoist repression and identify their victims and victimizers; will present the results of research on the repression of the teachers in the province of Cadiz; and they shall inquire into the present reality of the mass graves in the province of Cadiz.

 

All presentations will be held in the afternoon, while exhibitions can be seen from day 1 to day 12 of February, coinciding with the opening and closing hours of the Cloisters, from 10:00 to 14:00 h. and from 17:00 to 21:00 h. Access to the conference is free until full capacity, estimating the organizers that the conference suscitarán great interest in students, academics, teachers, historians, researchers, memorialists, relatives of reprisals and committed Jerez citizens and its countryside, in the Sierra and in the Bay of Cadiz.

This conference is organized by the Democratic Memory of Jerez by the Platform (which are part CCOO, UGT, CGT USTEA, PSOE, Ganemos, IU, CEHA, researchers from Jerez associated with "All Names" and "All Faces ") as well as by the city of Jerez, the Ateneo de Jerez, the Cultural Historical Memory Association Jerezana and the Provincial Government.
