Fibromyalgia is a multifaceted clinical syndrome characterized mainly by musculoskeletal pain and fatigue, whose variability of location and intensity have made it difficult to recognize, originate and find effective treatment.

This chronic pain affects 2.4% of the Spanish population (about 3 million women fundamentally, given that the prevalence is 9 women for a man) to which anxiety and depression are added, altering their quality of life.

The efforts of all kinds carried out have given poor results in terms of their treatment beyond general and preventive hygienic measures.

Rafael Recio Barba, is a doctor specialized in Traumatology who has extensive experience in the treatment of these patients. He is, on the other hand, a prolific writer involved in the social health issues of his environment.
