The figure of the architect Juan del Castillo or "construtor do mundo", born in Cantabria, belongs and is visible as Royal Architect of the court of Kings Manuel I and Juan III of Portugal. He developed his works in Portugal, Morocco and Spain, being the only architect who has performances in 5 monuments declared World Heritage Sites such as the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Belen in Lisbon, Convent of Christ of Tomar, Santa Maria de Vitoria de Bathala , The Royal Abbey of Santa Maria de Alcobasa, Portuguese City of Mazagon in Morocco and the extension of the National Palace of Sintra, and many other works less known or confused.
