Racó de la Memòria is situated behind the chapel of the Holy Cross (oratori de la Santa Creu) and is the place where tens of individuals were executed at gunpoint for their militant support of the second republic (Segona República). The Porreres town hall inaugurated this space in April of 2011. It includes a replica of the mural entitled “1936” created by Andreu Pasqual Frau and designed by the artist Jaume Ramis Sureda, as well as a plaque explaining the site’s history, through the poem “Els nostres morts” by Miquel López Crespí.
